Profile: A high-ranking demon. Cerastes belongs to a tribe of serpent gods called the Naga, who have humanoid upper bodies and serpentine lower bodies. She works as a mercenary in the human world. Cerastes is a battle maniac who considers mercenary work, which always goes hand in hand with death, to be her life's calling. Since she was born in the human world and raised by humans, she is not conscious of the fact that she is a Nagi. She operates in human form with a mask that grants her the ability to transform into a person, which she purchased from a certain demonologist. However, in battle she fights in her true form. Normally, Nagas are able to take human form on their own, but having been raised by humans, Cerastes does not know that method, so she relies on her mask. Perhaps because of her childhood trauma of being scorned for her half-human, half-serpent appearance, she harbors a strong hostility toward humans. And in particular, those who look down on others or Taimanin who flaunt their sense of justice are targets of her enmity. She caught wind of a rumor that there is a fellow Nagi warrior called Kaleeya in the human world, and she met Fuma Kotaro during her journey to find her.
