Profile: A half-Japanese woman. Kurumi S. Sakazaki is blonde with mismatched blue and black eyes, and any way you slice it she appears non-Japanese at a glance. She refers to herself as Japanese, but generally speaking no one believes her, and lately she has stopped correcting them since it became too much of a hassle. Since she does things haphazardly and is quite sloppy, she usually comes across as lethargic. But her abilities as a mercenary are tried and true, and she gets a barrage of contract offers from an assortment of enterprises and organizations. She uses a gauntlet and a high-frequency blade that she received from a former mercenary contract. The Japanese side of Kurumi's family comes from a tradition of sword art, and she was taught to a level that would allow her to defend herself when the going got tough in foreign lands. After becoming a mercenary she genuinely polished her sword art abilities and knowledge, raising her skills to a level that is fully effective in practice. Normally she runs through the battlefield with a single sword, saying, "This is faster."
